Born in 1991, Tobias grew up in the mountainous regions of Switzerland. He got interested in art early in life, as he started to play saxophone at the age of 9. He continued to pursue his musical talent throughout his childhood and early adulthood, playing in various bands and formations, where he especially focused on musical improvisation and creative playing.
At the age of 24, he left Switzerland and moved to the USA as he had the opportunity to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the field of chemistry. While packing his belongings, Tobias decided to leave music behind him. Instead, he picked up his first DSLR camera, to capture his experiences and adventures in his new home. He quickly fell in love with photography and the new creative opportunities given by it. Driven by his new passion, he explored various places all around the USA while living in Boston.
After he conducted his master thesis, he returned to Switzerland. Over the next years, he self-taught himself various technics and skillsets in the field photography, expanding his knowledge and equipment continuously. While working hard in his professional career, Tobias once again had the opportunity to return to the US as an expat for a major Swiss company a few years later. This time, he lived in the metropolitan area of New York City, where he spend most of his weekends between tall sky scrapers. Fascinated by the architecture, the people and the pace, he became interested in time-lapse photography. Over the course of his yearlong stay, he once again self-taught himself various technics and expanded his necessary equipment.

Today, Tobias lives in Zurich, Switzerland, mainly exploring the Alps as a photographer and timelapse cinematographer, constantly learning and exploring.
